four years after the first self released 7" 'against the snails', 100blumen return with a new consolidated
2 track dose on vinyl format. 'i love violence' transforms this outstanding band's treatment of
(apparently) antithetic style into a unique statement of anger, corrosiveness and power.
'world of grief' is a hazardous blast of technoid industrial and kicks your ass with the repulsive force of
a solid fuel rocket! vibrant synths carried by pulsing breakbeats erect the foundation for the
memorable lyrics, which are adapted from the hymn of the spanish anarcho-syndical union cnt.
you might be vexed while listening to the mellow string introduction on the flip side but then you will
be caught short by an abrupt heavy guitar and a fast rock drum kit. tempo variations will only offer you
a little reprieve from this track's merciless speed. influenced by bands like tragedy and from ashes
rise, 'i love violence' is a perfect combination of punk and electronics.

auphcd014: Skalpell - Nothing Important To Tell So Far
Wieder einmal freuen wir uns, ein neues Projekt auf audiophob begrüßen zu dürfen. Vielen sollte das Schweizer Duo Skalpell bereits ein Begriff sein, sind sie doch bereits seit 1995 aktiv. Seitdem wußte Skalpell bereits mit mehreren Veröffentlichungen auf Labels wie Deafborn und in der Dark Ambient Series von Art Konkret zu überzeugen. "Nothing Important To Tell So Far" ist das erste Album seit fünf Jahren und die Wartezeit hat sich gelohnt. Skalpell zeigen 76 Minuten Ambient, der weder Einflüsse von Noise noch Tribal-Ritual scheut. Gibt sich der Opener "Left Handed Sentinel" noch etwas zurückhaltend, wird spätestens mit "An Inkling Of Things To Come" klar, was alles in diesem Album steckt. In der Mitte des Albums setzt "Ebola 3" die Serie fort, die bereits mit den ersten zwei Teilen auf dem 1997er Tape "Surgical Compulsion" begann und ist eines der Noise-lastigeren Stücke des Albums. Ähnlich krachig beginnt auch "Rupture", der letzte Track des Albums, wandelt sich aber aber bald in hypnotische Rhythmen, die die Reise durch die Skalpell-Welt beenden.

X - means the symbol for crossing over two kinds of music, two bands, two nations: arx kaeli (russia) meets heimstatt yipotash (germany).
the conception behind X is to transform sounds and thoughts from one artist to the other. so this 7" vinyl starts with a song completely composed by arx kaeli followed by a song composed by arx kaeli too but using samples of heimstatt yipotash. equal to this on other side it starts with an pure heimstatt yipotash track. a second song composed by heimstatt yipotash using samples of arx kaeli closes this experiment.
so finally this disc contains four fine short tracks crossed over from arx kaeli to heimstatt yioptash - means X.
